NEW WEBSITE!!!

Ok, so some big stuff going on. I just finished building my new portfolio site and now I am trying to integrate my blog in with it. So if my blog randomly changes on you that's why! I want to get it so that the main index page of wesleyeggebrecht (news page) would actually be my blog. We'll see what happens.

Just the other day I stop in my local corner store today to pick up my copy of the new Transworld Skateboarding Magazine (February Issue) which is featuring some of my illustrations in the "We've Got Mail" section. Make sure to pick it up!!


Yesterday I finished this logo for a new clothing line "Street Famous". Check out some of the process work in my graphic design section.

Chlorophyll Collective

I just recently finished up this awesome project where I was asked to design the first shirt and logo for this new clothing line "Chlorophyll Collective" The line is all about this Hippo/Gene guy and these two birds. So first what I did was I came up with some character concepts. From there the client decided what ones were best and I went into composing the characters for the shirt design. All that was left was to ink the bad boy and throw it into the computer and finish up with color. Designing the logo was pretty much the same process. Check it out!!

Exactitude

Like usual I find myself stumbling around the world wide web finding amazing and inspirational sites but today I think I have found one of the best little sites in a long time. I found this really cool photo gallery site that just has tons of portrait shots. The people in these shots are so unique its great. Here is the link, make sure you check it out.. Exactitude

Off that site I found this great group of pictures of these old guys with hoods and since I just bought myself a new ink brush the other day, perfect time to bust it out. So here is a fun illustration I did. Trying to be more brave with my color choices.

Transworld Illustrations

These illustration I did for this months Transworld Skateboarding Magazine under the "Got Mail" section. The first illustration was about how this kids school teacher told him that skateboarding wasn't a sport because you didn't sweat and if you did sweat it was because the heat, hilarious. The second was pretty much about this kid and his buddies skating in this barn during the winter months.



Also I have a big interview Monday and a huge project to finish for it. Hopefully I will be able to post the work when finished.

Time for Something New

Since I haven't posted anything new in ages I decided to just scratch everything and start new again. I promise I will keep up and post whenever I can. I have been doing lots of freelance work and on top of that looking for a full time job so I have been keeping myself busy. A buddy of mine and I have also just started this collective blog of artist called "Numen Square" and I encourage everyone to check it out. Their are lots of very talented artists over there.

The illustration I am posting is something I did the other night as a warm up. Wasn't really thinking to much while drawing just trying to stay loose.
