Posting Again
Wow it's been awhile since I have posted. This past week I was in San Diego with a couple of friends from school. We were there for the 2008 Comic Con. This was my first Comic Con and man was it crazy awesome. I had a blast I talk to tons of artist and bought lots of stuff. While away and seeing all the artwork I had to start drawing again so here are some sketchbook drawings I did while away.

**UPDATE** Lifeguards WIP
Ok so here is my update for the Lifeguarding piece. When I opened it today I realized I messed up last time because I saved it at 72 resolution from when I shrunk it for the web. So I blow it up and started painting over all of it. That sucked but whatever. So here is the updated. Also there is a little head sketch I did to warm up with.

Beachin' It Up
Here is my final illustration for one of my classes. I spent all day and night on it, so I could get it finished and printed. I was inspired by Colleen's idea of a mom with her kids at the beach, a boy holding a balloon, and a girl holding an ice cream cone. I will update this post with the original pencil drawing. I am to tired to do it now I need a nap..

Nearing Bill of Life
So, it has been awhile since my last post. I should have more to show than this, but the end of the semester is getting closer, so that means I have to pick up the slack in my other classes. I have been really getting in to sculpture lately, so I'll be putting some of that up soon. I'll scan in a couple pages from my newest sketchbook. Also I have a couple pieces I am working on that will be up soon.

Gore-Tex Project
Ok, so it has been a while since my last post. That is because Matt Byle and I have been working on this Gore-Tex Project for one of our classes. An Illustration class is working with Advertising seniors. Our company was Gore-Tex. They create linings in coats, shoes, gloves and things to protect us. If you have Gore-Tex, you are the shit. Haha. The idea for the ads were that Gore-Tex fights the elements like Water, Wind, and Cold.
So, lets see, who did what, I drew all of the characters and then Matt painted them. Then I started painting with him, so we could finish on time. I hope you like them.

Humpty Dumpty
Here is my illustration of a fairytale or story for my digital pen and ink class. I choses Humpty Dumpty. For anyone that doesn't know the story of Humpty Dumpty I put it up.
Humpty Dumpty
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall;
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the King's horses
And all the King's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again!

People Popping Up
So, it is pretty late and I just finished up a nice little drawing for fun. I scanned in a little sword and drew a gangster holding it. Fun Fun! In the near future some CCS students (names will be released later) and I are starting a collaborative concept art blog. That's all I am going to say for now. You better be excited because it is going to be the shit.
Also, just to brag a little, I am going backpacking through the Appalachian trail in Georgia for spring break. We are going to five days, 40 miles in and 40 miles out. We are hoping to reach Blood Mountain. This will all go down this coming weekend.

Focusing on Concept Art
First off, I just finished my online portfolio website the other night. I whipped this bad boy out in one night, oh yea. I made it so you scroll through the art, rather than clicking thumbnails and waiting for them to load. I also design other peoples websites, so if you need a site, I am pretty cheap and have lots of experience.

Ok so back to the artwork, since talking to the man Dave Chow (thats my shout out DC <-- your nickname) he pulled me back into reality. He reminded me that I have to stay realistic with my work. I am now working more realistic but am also keeping a little bit of the Wesley goodness. I am working on a Humpty Dumpty illustration and that is what the sketches are. The others are kinda just for fun, practicing my digital painting and trying to start pushing myself in the concept art area. Eat it.

Kara's Cute Goodness
Kara wanted me to draw her something sweet and cute for Valentine's Day. I know it is a little past Valentine's Day but here it is. I am going to print it out and give it to her tomorrow. I usually don't do cute, so it was kinda hard to get the face to look cute and cuddly. She also loves butterflies, so I threw in some glowing white ones along with a nice carving in the tree.

I am working on lots of digital paintings at the moment so soon I will have more. I am working on a digital collaboration with Matt Byle and am thinking about posting the progress. I also am working on a Historical figure painting and some for fun studies and things.
