In my Object Drawing class, we had to use an object that omits light and transform the object into something interesting. I really liked the idea of merging a human with a candle. I really liked the way old light bulbs look. I started just going crazy with my sketchbook. I spent a couple of days working out ideas.

Then, I made a pencil drawing of it. Instead of doing just a line drawing, I decided to fully render it with pencil and then color over the value in Photoshop.
